Dean H. Harman, 77, of Cuba City, WI, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 at Finley Hospital in Dubuque, IA. A memorial service will be at a later date. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Dean was born on April 30, 1937 in Baraboo, WI to Paul & Adelia (Stieve) Harman. He married Cathy Friedel on April 26, 1981 in Madison, WI. They renewed their wedding vows on April 26, 2007. Dean worked at John Deere Dubuque Works for 30 years. He was a Master Sargent in the Air National Guard. Dean enjoyed farming, reading, science fiction, crop circles, the History Channel, finding a perfect walking stick while picking apples and blackberries, his old Chevy truck and his love for animals. But most of all, time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Dean is survived by his wife, Cathy; a daughter, Laura Lee Harman of Cuba City, WI; 2 brothers: Paul (Donna) Harman of Sauk City, WI and Donald (Dawn) Harman of Baraboo, WI; 2 sisters: Janis Harman of Baraboo, WI and Patricia Frank Wolf of Mazomanie, WI; mother-in-law, Laura Friedel; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lois Hengstler. In lieu of flowers, a Dean H. Harman Memorial Fund has been established.
