David Thomas Dwyer, 87, of Liberty, KY, formerly of Galena, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Baptist Health in Lexington, KY. A private family service and burial will be held at a later date at Vinegar Hill Cemetery in Galena, IL.

David was born on June 27, 1937, in Galena, IL, son of the late Raymond and Edna (Temperly) Dwyer. He enjoyed reading, listening to country music from the 50s-60s, and sitting outside on his deck watching birds and the traffic go by. He loved antique trucks and tractors, visiting with and talking about his family, seeing pictures and videos of his nieces and nephews, and watching This Old House. One of David's favorite things was sitting with his loyal best friend, his dog Queenie, who never left his side. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his niece,  Julie Teasdale of Liberty, KY; a great-niece, Dorothy Teasdale (and Mark) of Michigan; three great-nephews: Brian Teasdale of Monticello, WI, David Teasdale (and Kara) of Bartlett, TN, and Bill Teasdale (and Gele) of Rockton, IL; seven great-great-nephews: Kayden, Marcus, Lance, Heath, Ermuun, William and Kyler; four great-great-nieces: Alaina, Adaline, Mari and Francine; and one great-great-great nephew, Kylo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James Dwyer and Dean Dwyer; and three sisters, Dolores Dwyer-O'Neill, Joyce Dwyer and Marcella Dwyer-Nelson.
