Dale "Fly" A. Leifker, 50, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, IA. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 27th at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Hazel Green, WI with Father Kenneth Frisch officiating. Burial will be in the St. Francis de Sales Church Cemetery in Hazel Green, WI. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 26th at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and on Monday, February 27th from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Fly was born on June 28, 1966 to Donald & Mary (Walker) Leifker in Hazel Green, WI. He graduated from Benton High School in Benton, WI. He married Mary Thiltgen on August 27, 1994 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Hazel Green, WI. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Village of Hazel Green Trustee from 2006-2013 and Village President from 2013-present. Fly worked as a mechanic at Hillary's Gas Station in Hazel Green, WI and worked the family farm. He enjoyed farming, working on cars, lawnmowers & tractors, the family cat, Goose, old western movies & TV shows, an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, anything Ford Motor Company, protector of his family, telling stories and jokes with friends, his signature ball cap collection, but most of all time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Fly is survived by his loving wife, Mary; a daughter, Emily Leifker of Hazel Green, WI; his parents, Donald & Mary Leifker of Hazel Green, WI; a brother, Ron Leifker of Hazel Green, WI; a sister, Linda Leifker of Madison, WI; a mother-in-law, Lucille Thiltgen; along with several in-laws and many nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Urban & Bernice Leifker, Maternal grandparents, James & Ann Walker, several uncles & an aunt, father-in-law, Oswald Thiltgen, brothers-in-law, a nephew and a great-niece.
