Craig A. Runde, 44, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at home. Services will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, March 28th at the St. Rose Catholic Church in Cuba City, WI with Father David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the United Methodist Cemetery in Benton, WI. Friends may call on Saturday, March 28th from 9am until time of service at St. Rose Catholic Church in Cuba City, WI. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving this family. Craig was born on November 8, 1970 to Howard & Judy (McGrath) Runde in Dubuque, IA. He graduated from Southwestern High School and continued his education at UW-Platteville, WI with a degree in Ag Business and then pursued his degree at NICC and Southwest Technical College in Fennimore, WI in LPN. He worked as a LPN at Heritage Manor and worked 7 years at Finley Hospital in Dubuque, IA. He married Debra Crabtree on April 9, 2009 in Lancaster, WI. He was a lifelong member of Cuba City Rescue Squad, serving as secretary, treasurer and as a training officer. Craig enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, the Chicago Cubs, Green Bay Packers & the Wisconsin Badgers, going to KISS concerts with Deb, Rocky movies, spending time with his 5 fur babies and visiting with friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Craig is survived by his wife, Debra of Cuba City, WI; a step-daughter, Shayna Crabtree of Lancaster, WI; his parents, Howard & Judy Runde of Cuba City, WI; a sister, Jill (Greg) Busch of Benton, WI; a brother, Jason (Becky) Runde of Hazel Green, WI; nieces & nephew: Jacob, Jordan, Michaela & Allison; mother-in-law: Sandy Crabtree and a godmother, Kay McGrath. He was preceded in death by his maternal & paternal grandparents: Ralph & Bernadine McGrath and George & Imelda Runde; an uncle, Gerald McGrath; a father-in-law: Larry Crabtree and 2 brothers-in-law: Larry Dean Crabtree & Shawn Paul Crabtree. In lieu of flowers a Craig A. Runde Memorial Fund has been established.
