Clifford "Cliff" Donald Brown, 86, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City, WI. Services will be 11am on Saturday, April 20th at the United Methodist Church in Cuba City, WI with Pastor Dan Verdegan officiating. Military rites will be accorded at the church. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Friends may call from 4pm to 8pm on Friday, April 19th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI and on Saturday morning from 10am until time of service at the church. Cliff was born on December 13, 1926 to Harry & Bernadine (Stenseth) Brown in Stevens Point, WI. He enlisted in the US Navy and was a Korean War Veteran of the US Air Force. He married Dorothy A. Jessen on May 18, 1957 at the United Methodist Church in Cuba City, WI. Cliff was a member of the United Methodist Church, Cuba City, WI, the American Legion, Cuba City's Lion's Club, Cuba City Council Member, Cuba City Fire Department and a Charter Member of the Cuba City Rescue Squad and Cole Acres. He also worked part-time for the Cuba City Police Department and the Grant County Sheriff's Dept., employed at Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI and worked for the Cuba City School district until his retirement. Cliff enjoyed bowling, NASCAR, his morning coffee clutch crew and time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Cliff is survived by his loving wife of 55yrs., Dorothy; 3 daughters: Cheryl (Ole) Olson of Oregon, WI, Lori Brown of Verona, WI and Lisa Cory of Middleton, WI; 3 grandchildren: Nathan & Cori Olson and Emily Cory; a sister-in-law: Mary Ann Brown; a half-sister: Ruth Losey of Washington State; 2 brother-in-laws: Carl (Helen) Jessen and Henry "Joe" Wackershauser; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Bob (Joyce) Brown and Wayne Brown, a sister: Dorothy (Lawrence) Francis; and 2 sister-in-laws: Helene Wackershauser and Darlene Jessen. In lieu of flowers a Cliff D. Brown Memorial Fund has been established.
