Obituary

Cheryl K. (Knoepfle) Allen, 72, of Hazel Green, WI passed away on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025 at MercyOne Hospital in Dubuque, IA. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 9th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI, with Pastor Gus Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at Hazel Green Cemetery in Hazel Green, WI. Family and friends may call from 2:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 8th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI; also on Monday, June 9th from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Cheryl was born on May 7th, 1953 to Walter "Pete" & Norma (Kurle) Knoepfle in Hot Springs, SD. She first married Gary Guay and later Michael Dascher. Cheryl and Maurice "Maury" L. Allen were united in marriage May 20, 2008, at the Galena Courthouse in Galena, IL. They had 27 memorable and adventurous years together. Cheryl worked as a cashier at Gasser's True Value for over 15 years. She loved spending time with her grandkids, family, and friends. She was a lover of all things Christmas and especially loved attending her family's sporting events and camping. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cheryl is survived by 4 children: Michael (Kelly) Allen of Hazel Green, WI, Russell (Janae) Guay of Cedar Falls, IA, Jeannie (Brian) Reed of Hazel Green, WI, and Michelle (Vince) Carini of Franklin, WI; 10 grandchildren: Keaton (Mariah), Jalyn, Tytan, and Peerson Kephart; Cooper, Maggie, Lynden, and Kinslee Allen; Gianna and Dominic Carini; 5 great-grandchildren: Breckon, Aubrielle, Dayson, Blakelee, and Kinleigh; 3 siblings: Kevin (Peggy) Knoepfle of Belvidere, IL, Keith (Peggy) Knoepfle of Hanover, IL, and Dawn (Carey) Wald of Ellendale, ND; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maury, her son-in-law, Gregory Kephart, and her parents, Walter and Norma Knoepfle.

In lieu of plants & flowers, a Cheryl K. (Knoepfle) Allen Memorial Fund has been established.
