Charlotte A. Helbing, 85, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Sat. August 30, 2014 at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City, WI. Services will be at 11am on Wed., Sept. 3rd at the Platteville Free Methodist Church, Platteville, WI, with Pastor Jeff Suits officiating. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sale Cemetery, Hazel Green, WI. Friends may call from 5pm-8pm on Tues. Sept. 2nd at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI and on Wed. Sept 3rd from 10am until time of service at the church. Charlotte was born on March 8, 1929 to John & Evelyn (Weds) Kringle in Dubuque, IA. She married William "Bill" Helbing on Sept. 29, 1956 in Key West, IA. Charlotte enjoyed singing, cooking, sewing, painting, farming, gardening and time spent with her neighbors, friends & family. Charlotte sang at the Hazel Green Opera House and was a member the Grant County Homemakers and Tri-State Blind Society. She will sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.-Charlotte is survived by her son, William "Billy" Helbing of Cuba City, WI and her dog, Prince; along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William (June 15, 2004), and a sister, Elsie Mae. In lieu of flowers a Charlotte A. Helbing Memorial Fund has been established.
