Brooks A. Tiedeman, 22, of Benton, WI passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Through this journey, Brooks had made the beautiful gift of life by donation, to help others in need. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11th at Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI, with Pastor Gus Barnes officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Family & friends may call on Wednesday, October 11th from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. If any attendees would like to wear Hawaiian attire in memory of Brooks, they are welcomed to by his family.
Brooks was born on April 16, 2001 to Jim & Rose (Stanek) Tiedeman in Dubuque, IA. He was a member of National Honor Society and president of his class. Brooks was active in school sports playing football, basketball & baseball for Benton High School. He later played for the Shullsburg/Benton Fever baseball team. Brooks was a 2019 graduate from Benton High School and from UW-Whitewater in 2023, earning his Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. He enjoyed all sports, most recently golf & baseball. Other interests were vlogging, lunch evaluations and Hawaiian Wednesday, but most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. "Brooksie" was not only known for his infectious smile, funny little quips, passion for life, but for his huge heart and the good he found in everyone. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Brooks is survived by his loving parents, Jim & Rose Tiedeman of Benton, WI; 2 siblings: Dane (Andrea) Tiedeman & Claire Tiedeman, both of Platteville, WI; along with extended family, cousins, and many friends & classmates. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, an aunt, uncles and a cousin.
In lieu of plants & flowers, the family would like donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Brooks Tiedeman's name & memory.
The Tiedeman Family would like to extend a sincere & special thank you to family, friends, community and all of the doctors, nurses, hospital staff and Versiti donation care team for all of their compassion & kindness shown to Brooks & his family during this difficult time.
