PLATTEVILLE, WI – Billy E. Worthington Sr., 83, of Platteville, WI passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 1, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI, with Pastor Lindsay Guyer officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Cuba City, WI. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, February 6th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI.

Billy was born on April 12, 1932 to Archie Miles & Verna A. (Fry) Worthington in Clark, WI. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran. He married Rebecca Ann Palmer on June 16th 1972 in Menominee, Michigan. He worked for over 27 years at Montgomery Ward in Green Bay, WI working as a small engine technician.

Billy enjoyed hunting fishing camping horseshoes family time avid packers fan working with small engines.

Billy is survived by his wife Rebecca, 6 children: Laurie Worthington, Theresa (Steve) Czechowski, Diana(William)Rice, Thomas(Angela) Lockwood, Julie Worthington, Billy (Sherry) Worthington Jr; 2 sisters: Dorothy Durkee and Marilyn Laack; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 22 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 children: children: Michael and Matthew, 8 siblings: Bessie, Eva, Norman, Cole, Auspher, Burley, Bernard & Marvin.

In lieu of flowers a Billy E. Worthington Sr. Memorial Fund has been established.
