Betty J. Nelson, 65, of Platteville, WI, formerly of Hazel Green, WI passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Betty was born on June 12, 1958 to Stanley & Delpha (Chadwick) Bryson Newhall, CA. She worked for many years in the bakery/deli at Walmart and helped make specialty breads & desserts at Sinsinawa Mound Bakery.

Betty enjoyed painting, quality time with her son, Brandon, country western music, especially Willy Nelson music, but most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family & friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Betty is survived by her son, Brandon Holdorf of Platteville, WI; a brother, Virgil Bryson of Platteville, WI; a sister-in-law, Jackie Bryson of Hazel Green, WI; an aunt, Nancy Becker of Hazel Green, WI, along with nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, David & Vernon, and a sister, Rose Proto.

In lieu of plants & flowers a Betty J. Nelson Memorial Fund has been established.
