Barry V. Spillane, 69, of Galena, IL passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday January 21st at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Family & friends may call on Sunday, January 21st from 2:00 p.m.  until the time of service at the funeral home. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Barry was born on January 1, 1955 to Vincent & Alberta (Leifker) Spillane in Hazel Green, WI. He married Janet L. Hanson on June 24, 2006. He worked as a crane operator for Iroquois/Grede Foundry in Browntown, WI. Barry enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, going to his cabin in Dixon, IL, the outdoors, wood working, horses, country western music, Irish music, but most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family & friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Barry is survived by his loving wife, Janet; 4 children: Michele (Adam Smith) Olson, Becky (Mitch) Fecht, Scott (Tara Edmonds) Clancy all of Hazel Green, WI and Sarah Cassens of Port Richey, FL; 8 grandchildren: Shane, Dakota, Lexi, Ashlynn, Tiffany, Derek, Peyton & Hannah; 3 great-grandchildren: Braxton, Sloan & Greyson; 4 siblings: Ron Spillane, Diane (Ed) Holland, Rosemary Crawford & Jeanie Maxwell; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers: Bob, Jim & Joe Spillane and a daughter, Sherri Marshall.

In lieu of plants & flowers a Barry V. Spillane Memorial Fund has been established.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Barry's caregivers and hospice for their kindness & care given to Barry & his family.
