Barbara C. Pedley, 98, of Benton, WI passed away with her family by her side on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Lafayette Manor in Darlington, WI. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI, with Rev. Bill Vasey officiating. Burial will follow in the Leadmine Primitive Methodist Cemetery in Leadmine, WI. Family & friends may call from 11:00 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 12th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI. Barbara was born on December 4, 1926 to Robert & Ruth (Turner) Baker in Galena, IL. She was a graduate from Galena High School.

She married John "Jack" E. Pedley Sr. on May 16, 1946 in Galena, IL.

Barbara enjoyed birdwatching, bee keeping, road trips & traveling with John, well known for her sense of humor & telling jokes, her positive attitude and tender smile, but most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Barbara is survived by her 6 children: Nancy (Pete) Laber of Piedmont, SD, John (Harriet) Pedley Jr. of Richland Center, WI, Tom Pedley of Shullsburg, WI, Richard (Norma) Pedley of Benton, WI, Shirley (Gary) Heim of Hazel Green, WI & Scott (Ronda) Pedley of Shullsburg, WI; 12 grandchildren: 21 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; special friends, Donna & Bob Anton; along with many nieces and nephews. Barb had a wonderful relationship with the residents of Lafayette Manor and special friend, Ruth Richardson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Sr. (June 5, 1996), a grandson: Joshua Pedley, a great-grandson, Cameron Whited, a daughter-in-law, Mary Alice Pedley and a sister, Jean Wielk (passed at 100 years old).

In lieu of plants & flowers, a Barbara C. Pedley Memorial Funds has been established.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the outstanding nurses & staff of Lafayette Manor and Agrace Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Barbara and her family. Also, to Richard, Janet & Jill, from Haudenshield Funeral Home for their professionalism, kindness & care for Barbara & the entire Pedley Family.
