Mrs. Peter "Pete" Barbara A. (Hughes) Murphy, 76, of Kieler, WI, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 surrounded by her family at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, IA. Services will be 10:30am on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Father Bernie Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 3pm-7pm at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Kieler, WI and on Saturday, April 9, from 9am till time of service at the parish center. A parish rosary will be held at 7pm on Friday, April 8 at the parish center. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Kieler, WI is serving the family. Barbara was born on March 9, 1935, the daughter of Maurice and Rosalie (Miller) Hughes. She married Peter W. Murphy on September 27, 1958 at St. Victors Catholic Church in Monroe, WI. She is survived by her four children: Dr, Patrick (Laura) Murphy, DC of Richland Center, WI, Patricia (David) Molitor of Sun Prairie, WI, Mark Murphy and Leo (Karen) Murphy both of Kieler, WI; 17 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 brothers: Joseph (Betty) Hughes, Charles (Yvonne) Hughes, and Maurice (Kay) Hughes; 4 sisters: Mary Maurer, Margie Marti, Patricia (Norm) Grunder, Ellen (Joe) Milz. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband Peter William (August 21, 2009), a sister, Helena Bregenzer and a brother Michael "Mike" Hughes.
