Albert "Gene" E. Duncan, 91, of Cuba City, WI passed away on November 28, at 2:30 pm in Platteville, WI. In keeping with Gene's wishes, there will be no public memorial service and a private family burial will be held at a later date. The

Gene was born on February 25, 1925 to Albert & Eva (Wright) Duncan in Big Patch, WI. He married Ruth A. Kuhlman on December 12, 1948 in Greeley, IA. Gene was a hard worker who farmed for over 80 years in Cuba City.
He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle in his youth and then later flying his small Piper Colt airplane. He had a special devotion to his dogs, most notably "Bouncer," his faithful companion. For the last two years, Gene has been well cared for by the compassionate staff at Manor Care Nursing Home in Platteville, WI.
Gene is survived by 3 children: Patty (Jim) Pidlypchak of Tulsa, OK, Ron (LaNese) Duncan of McAlester, OK and Debbie (Leo) Junk of Dubuque, IA. Gene is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruth (Jan. 2, 2012), 7 siblings: Melvin, Marvin, Margaret, Alma, Louise Ruth, Charles, Nancy, a son, Gary Duncan (Feb. 10, 1983) and a great granddaughter, Tatum (Oct. 7, 2003).
In lieu of plants and flowers a Albert "Gene" E. Duncan Memorial Fund has been established.
