Harley G. Wolfe, 69, of Marshalltown, IA, formerly of Cedar Rapids, IA passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at the Veterans Nursing Home in Marshalltown, IA. A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Monday, February 13, at Linwood Cemetery Chapel in Dubuque, IA with military rites accorded. Reverend Lenny Powers will be officiating. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Harley George Wolfe age: 69, passed away on Sunday; February 5, 2012 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown; Marshall County, Iowa. Born on Monday; November 30, 1942 in Dubuque; Dubuque County, Iowa to Ray Lea Wilhelmer & Florence Beatrice (Burns) Wolfe. Harley attended Gage Park School in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois and graduated from Emerson High School in Gary, Lake County, Indiana in 1962. He enlisted in the US Army September 1962, after boot camp he received a Certificate of Completion for diesel mechanics course with the 84th Core of Engineers. He was stationed at Fort Ord, California, was then sent for over sea's duty in Korea for one year, he was Honorable Discharged in September of 1965. Harley was considered a Vietnam ERA Veteran for his service in the US Army as a Private. He worked for White Motors Company in Chicago, Illinois, then Ruan Motors in Hammond, Indiana up until July 2,1973 when he suffered an accident on his motorcycle which resulted in the loss of his right leg to the hip bone. Harley was preceded in death by both parents: Ray Lea Wilhelmer and Florence Beatrice (Burns) Wolfe; is survived by two daughters: Elizabeth Beatrice, Valerie Ann, Seven grandchildren: Eric, Elena, Jonathan, Jessica, Ryan, Alexander & Andrew, one great-grand daughter: Brooklyn; Step-Mother: Marjorie Irene Lambert Wolfe of Cedar Rapids,Iowa, one step-brother: William, two step sisters: Barbara A., Brenda A., three nieces, four nephews. Two brothers: Robert Wilhelmer Wolfe of Brandon, Iowa; Allen Merle (Kathy) Wolfe of Cortland, Ohio; Sister: Beverly Angelene (Gilbert F.) Dudley of Denton, Texas.
